eSSL biometric device integration
MyGymDesk connects eSSL biometric devices over the cloud with no PC required: register the device serial number, then point the device to bio.mygymdesk.in in its ADMS Cloud Server setting and punches sync within seconds. Attendance is captured automatically, and on supported firmware expired members are blocked at the device. Available on the Growth and Pro plans.
What you can do with it
Hands-free attendance capture
Members punch their fingerprint, face or card at the eSSL device and MyGymDesk records the check-in automatically — the next punch closes it out as a check-out with duration, so staff never log visits by hand.
Expiry-based access control on supported devices
When a membership expires, freezes or is cancelled, MyGymDesk pushes an updated validity window to the device over ADMS, so on firmware that supports the expiry rule the member is blocked at the door — and every blocked attempt raises an access alert.
Staff time and attendance on the same device
Map staff to device User IDs and their punches record check-in, check-out and hours worked, kept separate from membership checks.
No-PC setup for small gyms
Attendance and expiry access run through the cloud ADMS channel, so a gym only needs the eSSL device and internet — no always-on Windows PC. Register the serial and set the device’s server to bio.mygymdesk.in.
Multi-branch device fleet
Each device is tied to a location and shows live online/offline status and today’s punch count, so multi-location owners watch every branch’s reader from one screen.
How to set it up
- 1On the Growth or Pro plan, open Settings → Integrations → the Biometric tab (it’s locked on Starter).
- 2On the Devices tab, click ‘Add Device’ and enter the device serial number, a name, the location, and optionally the model (e.g. eSSL F22).
- 3Follow the on-screen dialog on the physical device: Menu → Comm. → Cloud Server Setting, set Server Mode = ADMS, Enable Domain Name = ON, and Server Address = bio.mygymdesk.in. The device then pushes data automatically — no PC needed.
- 4Enrol each person on the device itself (capture fingerprint, face or card, note their User ID), then in MyGymDesk go to Members → Member Mapping → ‘Map User’ and link that User ID to the member or staff profile. New members can also get an auto-assigned PIN.
- 5Optional: for fingerprint-template sync and advanced control, open the Agent Setup tab and generate an API key for the Windows Desktop Agent — note the agent download is currently marked ‘coming soon’, so the no-PC cloud path is the primary setup today.
