    ZKTeco biometric device integration

MyGymDesk connects ZKTeco biometric devices to your gym dashboard so fingerprint and face check-ins post attendance automatically. ZKTeco (and eSSL) devices push punches over WiFi via the ADMS cloud protocol to bio.mygymdesk.in — no PC needed — while an optional Windows Desktop Agent handles fingerprint templates. Biometric integration is a Growth and Pro plan feature.

What you can do with it

    Zero-effort attendance capture

Members scan at a ZKTeco reader and the punch reaches your dashboard automatically — first scan of the day is check-in, the next is check-out, with per-device time correction to keep timestamps on IST.

Block expired memberships at the door

When a subscription lapses or renews, MyGymDesk queues a validity command to the device on its next heartbeat. Firmware that supports the ADMS expiry rule blocks expired members by date; older firmware removes and re-adds them on renewal.

Staff time and attendance on the same device

Staff punches are resolved separately from members and written to staff attendance as check-in/check-out — one device covers both member access and staff clock-in.

    Multi-device, multi-location gyms

Register multiple ZKTeco devices, assign each to a location, and monitor online/offline status, firmware and today’s punch count per device from one dashboard.

    Anti buddy-punching

Entry is a biometric fingerprint or face verification, and duplicate punches inside a short window are auto-rejected, so proxy check-ins are eliminated.

    How to set it up

    1. 1On the Growth or Pro plan, open Settings → Integrations → the Biometric tab (Starter and trial accounts see an upgrade prompt).
    2. 2On the Devices tab, click ‘Add Device’ and enter the device serial number, name, location and optional model.
    3. 3Follow the dialog on the ZKTeco device: Menu → Comm. → Cloud Server Setting, set Server Mode = ADMS, Enable Domain Name = ON, Server Address = bio.mygymdesk.in. The device then pushes punches automatically.
    4. 4Choose how PINs are issued in the Biometric → PIN Generation card (member mobile number or auto 4-digit), add members in MyGymDesk (each gets a biometric User ID), then enrol that ID’s fingerprint or face on the device — or bulk-map existing enrolments via CSV import.
    5. 5Optional advanced path: generate an API key on the Agent Setup tab for the Windows Desktop Agent (fingerprint-template sync). The in-product agent download currently shows ‘coming soon’, so ADMS cloud push is the live path today.
