Which apps can members pay from?

Any UPI app. The QR encodes a standard UPI payment intent, so it works with GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and others.

Does the UPI QR payment reconcile automatically?

No. It’s a static display QR with no automatic verification — staff confirm the money actually arrived, in their UPI app or bank, and then click ‘Payment Received’ to record it. For auto-confirmed online payments, use the Razorpay gateway instead.

Where does the money go?

Straight into the gym’s own bank account linked to its UPI ID — MyGymDesk and any payment gateway are bypassed entirely, so there’s no platform cut on these collections.

Is UPI QR available outside India?

No. UPI QR Collection is INR/India-only and the tab is hidden for non-INR tenants.

It’s included on the Pro and Enterprise plans and available as a paid add-on on lower plans — for India/INR gyms only.

UPI QR collection for Indian gyms

Yes — MyGymDesk supports UPI QR collection for Indian gyms. Set your UPI ID once in Settings, and staff can show a scannable QR at the front desk during billing. Members pay with any UPI app — GPay, PhonePe, Paytm or BHIM — straight into your own bank, and you confirm receipt to record the payment.

What you can do with it

Collect at the front desk

When a member pays in person, staff pick the ‘UPI QR’ payment type on Create Bill and hit ‘Show QR to Collect’. The member scans, pays the exact bill amount, and staff confirm ‘Payment Received’ — the bill and receipt are generated like any other payment.

Take UPI without a payment gateway

A gym can accept UPI using just its own UPI ID — no Razorpay or Stripe keys, no gateway onboarding. UPI QR collection is configured independently in Settings → Integrations → Payment Gateway & UPI.

Money settles straight to your bank

Payments go directly into the gym’s own bank account via its UPI ID — MyGymDesk never touches the funds and there’s no gateway in the middle.

Per-branch UPI for multi-location gyms

Each branch can have its own UPI ID so collections land in the right account; billing automatically picks the current location’s ID and falls back to the main one when blank.

How to set it up

1On the Pro or Enterprise plan (or with the UPI QR Collection add-on), and as an India/INR gym, open Settings → Integrations → the ‘Payment Gateway & UPI’ tab.
2Select the ‘UPI’ sub-tab (shown only for INR tenants).
3Turn on the ‘UPI QR Collection’ switch.
4Enter your UPI ID / VPA (must contain ‘@’, e.g. yourgym@okhdfcbank) and a display name; a live QR preview appears as you type.
5Multi-location only: optionally set a per-branch UPI ID override in the ‘Location-specific UPI’ section — leave blank to use the main ID.
6Save. To collect, go to Billing → Create Bill, build the cart, choose ‘UPI QR’, then ‘Show QR to Collect’; the member scans and pays, you verify receipt, and click ‘Payment Received’.
